World Menopause Day: Let’s Talk About Menopause
Today is World Menopause Day 🌿
Menopause is the last menstrual period. On average, this occurs at age 51, but it can only be confirmed after 12 months without a period. We refer to the time before and after this as perimenopause. The transitions are gradual, and every woman experiences them differently.
On top of that, this phase often coincides with a demanding time in life: work, family, caring for loved ones, and financial responsibilities. Physical and mental stress are closely linked. This year, World Menopause Day is focused on chronic pain during midlife. These issues, too, deserve to be taken seriously.
Are you experiencing symptoms? Have them checked by a doctor or gynecologist. If this time is taking an emotional toll on you, seek psychological support. That’s a big step. 💚
