Spring is here, temperatures are rising — and so are the ticks! 🌡️ Tyrol is a TBE risk area, which is why the tick vaccination (TBE vaccination) is equally important for adults and children.
💉 For children, the TBE vaccination is recommended from the age of 1. The primary immunisation consists of 3 doses: the second dose is given 1–3 months after the first, and the third 5–12 months after the second. The first booster is due after 3 years, then every 5 years.
💉 For adults, the schedule is the same: 3 doses — the second 1–3 months after the first, the third 5–12 months after the second. Boosters are then recommended every 5 years, or every 3 years from age 60. If you haven’t been vaccinated yet — now is the perfect time to start!
⚡ Need quick protection? There is also a rapid immunisation schedule with shorter intervals — after just 2 doses you can already be protected for the current tick season. Simply ask us about it, we’ll be happy to advise you!
